About Swaybetween
Swaybetween came about due to a fascination with various intriguing juxtapositions. Those bitter/sweet, love/hate, ugly/beautiful ironies.
While I’ve long been drawn to those things that disgust and impel, are simultaneously appalling and irresistible, or induce nerves slash excitement, this seems to actually be a convenient way to explore and describe the intersection of art and science.
Swaybetween is a collection of projects, objects, research and images, mostly on the science/art theme, that I find intriguing, as well as a record of progress of my own projects.
[The phrase ‘hybrid scholars and boundary objects’ is from an essay appearing in ‘artists in labs: processes of inquiry’, edited by Jill Scott (2006).]
